INDUTAN (Indústria de Peleteria Cruz Costa, S.A.) has always conducted its activities based on principles of ethical integrity. INDUTAN S.A. considers it appropriate to implement a Code of Conduct that expresses these values and establishes the principles and rules of conduct arising from them. This document will be communicated to management, employees, external collaborators, and any other individuals or entities collaborating with INDUTAN S.A. in any capacity, and they must comply with and adhere to the principles and rules set out in this Code of Conduct.
The INDUTAN S.A. Code of Conduct sets out the general principles and rules of conduct that must be observed to ensure the proper functioning, reliability, and reputation of INDUTAN S.A. and the entities directly or indirectly associated with it.
INDUTAN S.A. is particularly committed to promoting the application of the principles contained in this Code of Conduct to its activities, based on the conviction that ethical business conduct is the foundation of INDUTAN’s success and represents the best expression of its mission, vision, values, and image.
To ensure compliance with these principles, this Code of Conduct addresses three fundamental areas of action:

• Workplace Conditions and Regulations.
• Environmental Regulations.
INDUTAN S.A. complies with the applicable legislation and regulations on labour law, health, and workplace safety.
• Human rights and fundamental freedoms – INDUTAN S.A. is committed to respecting human dignity and human rights and to complying with national and international laws on human rights protection. INDUTAN S.A. is particularly vigilant in the fight against modern slavery, including within its supply chain.
• Respect for mandatory social law provisions – INDUTAN S.A. complies with the applicable mandatory provisions of social law, particularly regarding the prohibition of illegal labour.
• Prohibition of child labour practices – INDUTAN S.A. considers the use of child labour to be a reprehensible and unacceptable practice that violates children’s rights.
• Prohibition of forced labour practices – INDUTAN S.A. undertakes not to employ anyone against their will or force anyone to work.
• Prohibition of all forms of harassment – INDUTAN S.A. is committed to prohibiting all forms of harassment, whether psychological, moral, verbal, or sexual.
• Freedom of association – Employees are encouraged to communicate openly with management about working conditions without fear of any form of retaliation. INDUTAN S.A. respects the right of its employees to associate freely, join trade unions, appoint a representative, and be part of the workers’ committee.
• Workplace health and safety – INDUTAN S.A. ensures workplace health and safety conditions in compliance with applicable legislation and promotes the continuous improvement of working conditions.
The adoption of high ethical standards contributes to building a strong reputation, enabling INDUTAN S.A. to achieve its objectives.
• Anti-corruption measures and compliance – In all business transactions, INDUTAN S.A. undertakes not to engage in any practices punishable by law.
• Prohibition of all forms of discrimination – INDUTAN S.A. opposes all types of discrimination, whether in recruitment, access to training, or remuneration.
• Safety and quality – The products supplied and services provided shall meet the legally established and contractually specified quality and safety criteria and must also be safe for their intended purpose.
• Remuneration – As a minimum, INDUTAN S.A. ensures that wages are paid on time and in accordance with the applicable legislation, guaranteeing its employees the rights provided by law.
• Working hours – Regarding overtime work, INDUTAN S.A. complies with the limits established by law and the regulations to which it has voluntarily committed itself.
• Confidentiality – INDUTAN S.A. ensures the confidentiality of business matters. Any information it has access to is used solely within the scope of the established relationships between the parties while safeguarding personal data whenever applicable, in compliance with the GDPR.
• Combating money laundering – INDUTAN S.A. complies with all applicable accounting and banking regulations, as well as international, local, and national laws related to money laundering, terrorism financing, and fraud. No action that could directly or indirectly support money laundering or terrorism financing is permitted. INDUTAN S.A. condemns money laundering in all its forms.
• Transparency – INDUTAN S.A. ensures compliance with the declaration of origin and the supply of compatible products and/or services.
INDUTAN S.A. is committed to acting responsibly towards the environment and follows an environmental policy in collaboration with all its business partners:
• Compliance with environmental regulations – INDUTAN S.A. adheres to all applicable environmental regulations, particularly regarding health, safety, and sustainable development. INDUTAN S.A. is committed to implementing an appropriate policy for sustainable development and environmental responsibility and encourages its partners to adopt similar practices.
• Responsible use of raw materials, energy, and natural resources – INDUTAN S.A. implements concrete measures to monitor its consumption of water, energy, natural resources, and any raw materials necessary for its activities. The aim is to optimize consumption, reduce material intensity while increasing economic efficiency, and improve reuse and/or recycling rates. This approach also influences logistics decisions, including packaging processes and transport methods.
• Effective management of emissions, effluents, and waste – INDUTAN S.A. applies specific measures to reduce and/or treat its atmospheric emissions, land and water effluents, and all types of waste resulting from its activities.
• Protection of endangered species and biodiversity – INDUTAN S.A. strictly complies with all applicable regulations regarding the protection of endangered species and biodiversity.
• Environmental protection – INDUTAN S.A. follows the precautionary principle, proactively ensuring greater environmental responsibility. Employees whose work may directly impact the environment receive training, possess the necessary competencies, and have the required resources to perform their duties responsibly.
• Restricted substances – INDUTAN S.A. promotes the responsible and appropriate use of restricted substances and products to minimize their impact on the ecosystem.
INDUTAN S.A. considers compliance with applicable laws and regulations in all the countries where it operates, as well as integrity and transparency in business conduct, to be fundamental principles of its activities.
